Announcing the 2020-2021 Forum Grant Recipients

The History of Philosophy Forum is pleased to announce Dmitry Biriukov and Maria Cabré Duran as our 2020-2021 Small Grants recipients.  These two accomplished international researchers will be conducting research at the University of Notre Dame during Spring 2021.  We look forward to welcoming them to campus!  Information about events planned during their visits will be forthcoming.
 

Biriukov

Dmitry Biriukov is a research fellow at the Poletayev Institute for Theoretical and Historical Studies in the Humanities of the National Research University Higher School of Economics (Russian Federation), specializing in Byzantine philosophy.  His research project studies the theory of universals in Byzantine philosophy.  More details

 


 

 

Maria Cabre Duran

Maria Cabré Duran is a postdoctoral scholar at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, specializing in medieval metaphysics.  Her research project is a textual, philosophical, and contextual study of the science of metaphysics in the important Scotist philosopher Antonius Andrea.  More details
