Project Title: Being and Goodness in Aristotle’s Metaphysics
I am a PhD student in philosophy at the University of Pittsburgh and a research visitor at Notre Dame for the 2022-23 academic year. My primary research is on the intersection of ontology, ethics, and theology in the Platonic and Aristotelian traditions, especially as these relate to Aristotle's Metaphysics. More broadly, I am interested in the development of western philosophy from these formative beginnings through late antiquity, medieval philosophy (Arabic and Latin), and early modern philosophy, and in contemporary metaphysics, ethics, and value theory.
I enjoy playing and watching basketball, reading Dostoyevsky, watching classic movies, and arguing with my brother (and Pitchfork) about the greatest albums of all time.
