Affiliation: Fordham University
Host: Therese Cory
I am the Mark and Kathryn Tomasic Fellow at Fordham University for the 2024-2025 academic year. My research interests are in medieval philosophy, especially medieval metaphysics and medieval theories of the soul. My dissertation focuses on Richard of Mediavilla and Thomas Aquinas on the unity of the soul, within the context of the 13th-century plurality of substantial forms debate. During my visit to Notre Dame, I will be working on a chapter of the dissertation focusing on Aquinas and Mediavilla’s interpretations of Aristotle’s “Figure Soul Analogy” from De Anima II.3.
