Bio: Dr. Elnatan Chen is a scholar of Biblical Hebrew grammar and its medieval Jewish grammatical tradition. He has held fellowships at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and Ben-Gurion University, and was a Fulbright Postdoctoral Fellow at Johns Hopkins University.

Dr. Chen earned his Ph.D. from the Hebrew University with a dissertation on the linguistic thought of R. Jonah ibn Janāḥ. His research examines the transmission of Hebrew grammatical theory across cultures, and he has published widely in Hebrew and English on Judeo-Arabic philology, medieval translation, and the intersection of grammar and exegesis. He is currently preparing critical editions of major medieval grammatical works under contract with Oxford and Cambridge University Presses.
