Samuel Pell, a Fellow of the History of Philosophy Forum, was awarded an honorable mention by the Society of Medieval and Renaissance Philosophy in its Founder's Award Competition for best paper by a younger scholar. Pell, a doctoral student in Notre Dame's Department of Philosophy, was recognized for his submission, "Thomas Aquinas on the Development of Definitional Cognitions."
